Today almost everywhere, people are required to work together with more or less complex machines.
For this reason, scientific findings that contribute to the understanding and improvement of the interaction between human and technology and thus enable the safe, effective and efficient control, monitoring and use of technical systems by humans are of central importance.
The imparting of these insights and skills is a central goal of the master's program Human Factors. The Master's program Human Factors is an interdisciplinary study program for psychologists and engineers with a bachelor or diploma. (https://www.humanfactors.tu-berlin.de/)
The diploma program covers the use of new media in communication, learning and work processes from conception through implementation to evaluation. In order to enable such a holistic approach, selected sociological and technical skills are combined during the study. This interdisciplinary knowledge promotes networked and innovative thinking, which is an essential prerequisite for professional success in times of increasing digitization.
In 2006, the degree program was changed from the old diploma system to the Bachelor / Master system and renamed "Communication, Knowledge, Media". A degree at austrian Universities of Applied Sciences entitles the holder to pursue technical and scientific professions.
More about the clasification of the degree, you can find here.
In Austria schools can have a specific orientation of courses. These orientations could be languages, science or media. I was doing the science orientated class.
For free choice I did some extra courses about radio broadcast and film making, as well as applied physics.
